Wouldn't an additional alternate version confuse people more? It is
obviously a very good idea, but why not just integrate the patches in the
main code (and nepl patch) ?

I am happy to provide these for you (i guess we can go off the mailing list
for this). Do you care for some wording as well or do you just want an
additional set of working conf files? I guess you can take my network setup
configuration from my first email of the 18th if you want it.
