Hello,
From what i know the HA is defending the MN's home address on the Home
Link when the MN is away and thus, if the MN tries DAD when returning
home, it will fail. So in this case there is an exception and the MN,
after realizing it is attached to the Home Link (through HA RAdv),
immediately sends a BU with zero lifetime. The HA, after receiving this
BU, and before sending a BAck tries DAD (neighbor solicitiation) to the
MN's home address, to which the MN must reply indicating that it is
using the home address and ready to receive packets. Only after this
does the HA send a BAck.
Don't know if this helps you in any way.
I must admit i am far from being an expert on the subject, so if i am
wrong i hope someone corrects what i've said.
Cheers,
Jose Torre
