Hi Charly,
If you're using racoon2, you just don't need the /etc/ipsec.conf file. I
am not sure why the script looks for this file, it's probably a bug.
Since we don't actively maintain this script anymore (at least, AFAIK),
I think your best option is to create an empty file to be copied, it may
fix your issue... ( I am not very sure the location for this empty file,
sorry...)
About the patches, I don't think so, since the live-CD uses pre-compiled
packages that already include these patches. The patches are useful only
when you want to make the kernel / daemons from source.
